Kenneth G. Brill is founder and Principal Consultant of ComputerSite Engineering, as well as founder and Executive Director of the Uptime Institute, the Site Uptime Network, and Upsite Technologies. He is a co-originator of the industry standard Tier Classification System, along with other Principals of ComputerSite Engineering, and holds a patent on dual-power topology.
Brill has been recognized and awarded as a long-time industry leader through his active involvement in the business and technology media on data center and site infrastructure design, engineering, and management issues, and his authorship and contribution to numerous white papers on timely industry topics. He is active in the United States with EPA and other international regulatory organizations on data center energy efficiency and carbon footprint. Brill’s most recent focus is on the changing economics of Information Technology as site infrastructure costs grow as a percentage of IT’s budget.
Brill holds an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
