Ed Rafter

Ed RafterEd Rafter brings extensive experience in evaluating installations for quality of workmanship and local and national electrical code compliance to the ComputerSite Engineering team. Some of his projects include the management and coordination of commissioning test procedures for UPS, Engine and Turbine Generators. He has performed design reviews and has been a fundamental part of design projects within the company. He was also the Project Engineer for a leading engineering/testing firm, where he supervised on-site power system acceptance testing, conducted critical power distribution evaluations including short circuit studies, load demand analysis, and harmonic surveys.

Mr Rafter has over 20 years experience in the commissioning and retro-commissioning process and is a Certified Commissioning Process Authority Professional (CxAP) through the University of Wisconsin. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. He has a BS from Fairleigh Dickinson University and is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers.  

Mr. Rafter is also a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), a member and certified Designer/Inspector of the Lightning Protection Institute and an officer of the 7 x 24 Exchange Midwest Chapter.
